Meghna’s ideologies have their roots in the preservation and restorative nature of our surroundings. Her choice of medium comes from her experience while working in the field of restoration. While restoring fragile manuscripts she came across translucent handmade papers & textiles. Thus, began her journey experimenting with papers, inks & adhesives to create terrains for her to draw upon.

Whilst in different regions, Meghna includes forms of creatures endemic to the place into her works. Creating the surface by pasting handmade translucent paper in layers intuitively upon a textile. The veins in the paper create a map and terrain for her to draw geological formations and foliage using ink. This surface guides her painting, which are created through water stains, pen, ink and other mixed mediums. Her painted drawings are created combining traditional art practices with a surreal essence of morphism reflecting a sensation of movement and adaptation.
